HydroSport

HydroSport needed a new web solution for models, enquiries and future growth

HydroSport needed a website that could launch quickly with a clearer overview of models and easier enquiries. We built a custom solution with flexible publishing.

The starting point

HydroSport Norway is a new business, so the most important goal in phase 1 was to launch a professional website quickly. The solution had to do two things at once:

  • create a clearer overview of the models
  • establish the right foundation for future development

This was not just about getting a website live. It was about building the right setup from the start. The website needed to be easy to manage, provide a clear product structure and support enquiries with more context than a generic contact form.

The goal

The goal in phase 1 was to launch a custom web solution that:

  • made the models easier to present clearly
  • gave the client flexible publishing without needing a developer
  • supported more relevant enquiries
  • could be developed further later on

It was also important not to lock the solution into a template or a rigid publishing setup. HydroSport needed a site that worked now, but could also support future phases of the collaboration — including a configurator or more advanced product functionality later on.

What we built

We built a custom web solution around three core parts: model overview, flexible publishing and lead flow.

1. A clear model catalogue

The website was built around HydroSport's product models, with a structure that makes it easier to understand the differences and move further into the site.

Users can:

  • browse all models in one place
  • filter between Leisure and Pro
  • filter by size
  • move into dedicated model pages with more detail, specifications and gallery content

That makes the solution more useful than a standard brochure-style website. It works as an actual product catalogue.

2. Flexible publishing in Sanity

To make the solution easier to manage, we built a Sanity setup tailored to HydroSport's needs.

Each model can be managed with structured content such as:

  • name and URL
  • categories
  • side profiles
  • gallery
  • specifications
  • featured sections
  • configurator options as a base for future development

This gives the client a simpler publishing workflow and better control over product content without having to change everything in code.

3. A lead flow with better product context

Instead of a generic contact form, we built an enquiry flow that gives sales more context from the first interaction.

The contact form allows the user to:

  • select a model
  • send a direct enquiry
  • choose "Not sure — help me choose" if they are still early in the process

That makes the enquiries more relevant and gives HydroSport a better starting point for follow-up.

Why this was the right solution

For a business like HydroSport, it was more important to build the right foundation than to overload phase 1 with too much functionality.

That is why we built a solution that:

  • could launch quickly
  • is easy to manage
  • creates a clear product structure
  • supports more relevant enquiries
  • is ready for future development

This is often a better path than trying to build everything from day one. First, the client gets a structured and professional foundation. Then the functionality can be expanded based on real needs and actual use.

What makes the solution custom

This is more than a standard marketing website.

It was built around HydroSport's actual needs, including:

  • a custom model structure for Leisure and Pro
  • filtering by category and size
  • a flexible structured content model in Sanity
  • product-specific enquiry flow
  • analytics around model views, filters and form activity
  • a foundation for future configurator or product logic development

This kind of structure is what turns a website into a tool, not just a visual surface.

The result in phase 1

HydroSport now has a new web solution that:

  • makes it easier to present and manage models
  • creates a clearer path from product view to enquiry
  • sends enquiries with more context
  • is built for mobile and future development
  • provides a stronger foundation for the next phase of the collaboration

Since HydroSport Norway is a new business, this is primarily a foundation case: launch the right solution quickly, with a structure that can support further growth.

What this case shows

HydroSport is a good example of how a custom web solution can be the right first step for companies that need:

  • clear product structure
  • flexible publishing
  • better lead flow
  • fast delivery without relying on templates
  • a foundation for further development

For businesses with high-value products or services, a website often needs to do more than look good. It has to make the offer easier to understand, the content easier to manage and the enquiries more relevant.
